Description
This listing is for a wonderful object that has been a prized possession in my collection for 40 years. It is an antique ceramic paperweight made as an advertising and promotional piece for the company Camerden & Forster & Sons in 1892. Located on Broadway in the Victoria Hotel in NYC, the company imported jewelry, clocks, bronzes, porcelains and novelties. The piece is both a paperweight and a calendar for the year 1892. The paperweight weighs 12 ounces and measures 3-1/2" inches across by about 1-3/4" inches tall. The transfer printing is a brown sepia on an ivory colored body. The piece was made in France as indicate on the bottom; "G.D. Depose Paris Made In France". The condition is EXCELLENT as seen in the photos. Any imperfections are "As Made".No cracks, No chips, No repairs...Not even any crazing.
