This vintage ?paperweight? set features two ceramic or chalk wear alligators signed and dated by Select Specialty Co. Made in the U.S.A. The brownish color and mid-20th century era make it a unique addition to any collection. The set is an original, limited edition piece and was manufactured in the United States in 1953. (( PLEASE SEE PICS. ORIGINAL NOTE ATTACHED TO BOTTOMS OF EACH GATOR. ALSO EACH HAVE THE MAKER AND DATE ON THE SIDES. THESE ARE RARE AND I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE AND HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING MADE LIKE YHESE. THEY BOTH SHOW HANDLING WEAR AND SOME CHIPS HERE AND THERE . BUT FOR THERE AGE ~~ 71 YEARS OLD ~~ LOOK INCREDIBLY WELL. )) The alligators are beautifully crafted with no glaze finish and are perfect for any lover of antique decor.
