Any stand shown in photographs is not included in purchase - it is being used for display/photography purposes only. Many Type III basic pansy weights are thought to have been made in the 1920's-30's but I believe this one may have been made earlier than that because of it's larger 3" size (vs 2.75 0f 1920-30) and higher profile of the weight. Opening yellow bud and 11 green leaves. Has a great white star stamen with a bullseye center cane. Interesting tidbit...besides the fact that the Pansy was Baccarat's best selling paperweight in the Classic Period around 1845-70 - I've read the name in French translates to "thought" and the pansy was associated with Napoleon Bonaparte. Weighs 1.4 lbs and is approximately 3" W X 2" H. In great "as made" shape, believe this may have been restored. As with many antiques there are small internal bubbles in the weight. Light base wear.
