Description
This bronze on marble antique French paperweight is signed Monnin and has a very charming bust of a young smiling girl with a typical French cap. She has her mouth slightly open and is looking up as if speaking or singing. The piece has had a life as evidenced by the damage to the girls nose: it has lost its tip. The girl has wonderful dimples in her cheeks, which give the piece a mischievous feel. The marble base also has some very small abrasions consistent with age. Measurements are: 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" and 4 1/2" tall.
