Description
For sale is an antique EAPG frosted glass paperweight by Gillinder & Sons, produced for the centennial in 1876. This particular paperweight features a frosted hand holding a round, hollow circle, that may originally have contained a turtle. Now, you may consider using to frame something else like a photo...or anything, really. It is 4 1/4" tall/long by about 3" wide. There is a long production straw mark the length of the index finger and some scuffs on the back of the fingers and in the center of the round portion. There is a 1/4" chip on the corner of the base and another fleck on the edge of the round opening. That said, not terrible for a piece of glass that it almost 150 years old! It does glow quite a bit under a blacklight as well.
