Description
I have, for sale, a very nice, antique pinchbeck paperweight possibly from France and dating from around 1850. Piece is in very good shape, with only two notable scratches I could see (one to the side of the dome (picture 14), and one around the top (picture 15), though neither image came out too well since they are such small scratches), though there are going to be other small ones here and there, but nothing very noticeable. There is damage to the tin, I assume, base as seen in pictures 16-18 from probably being dropped a bit hard. There is also some warpage to the bottom of the base overall as seen in photo 13. There is a small bubble in the glass that I saw (picture 19), but this is the nature of paperweights sometimes. The scene is of two hunters on horseback and a third man on the ground (possibly the dog handler) with a pack of dogs attacking an Elk. Very riveting scene! Measures about 3 1/4" inch at its widest and 1 3/4" tall. Please feel free to email me with any questions that come to mind. :)
