OUR DESCRIPTION Wonderful Antique “Spa” weight with picture of Down Town CITY HALL BUILDING in MILWAUKEE, WI . Art Glass Paperweight. This on has a nicely faceted inner circle cut around the picture which adds to the picture. These antiques “Spa” weights were common tourists souvenirs from the mid to late 1800’s and have been attributed to Midwest Glass Makers, depending on the image depicted. This one has a picture of DOWN TOWN CITY HALL BUILDING and Surrounding Area in MILWAUKEE, WI . I am guessing the 1930's or 40's. The picture is set into the bottom of a solid crystal glass square shaped art glass paperweight and is backed with a leatherette seal. I consider this amazing SPA weight to be in Very Good Antique Condition with light shelf ware to the bottom. The paperweight is typically sized at 3" inches Square and 3/4” thick. It is not signed, so although possible attribution is not possible, it is most probably a Midwest Glass Maker. Please check pictures for further description.
