A 2 1/2 inch wide x 4 inch tall rectangular-shaped SUN COLORED AMETHYST glass antique WHITE HOUSE / WASHINGTON D.C. souvenir PAPER WEIGHT . It has a very early -- very historical picture AND highly detailed picture of the White House as it looked back in the 1800s. One of the greatest features of this glass paper weight is that the glass has taken on a light SUN COLORED AMETHYST (sca) tint indicative of pre-1914 glass wear. It is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE b lown- g lass paperweight, dating back to the 1800's . Paperweight reads : " WHITE HOUSE / Washington D.C. " Condition : The glass paperweight is in nearly perfect condition, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Please see pictures for idea of overall appearance and condition . T he detail in the picture is great, even the fountain out front shows up. Also there is a couple on the front porch of it, quite possibly the President and First Lady though the image is too small to make much of who exactly. And of great interest is the SUN COLORED AMETHYST (sca) tint that the glass has, with few exceptions, sun colored amethyst glass predates 1914.
