Description
Hi... Recently discovered at an estate sale in Prague, Czech Republic, from an old glass cutting family. This antique glass cutter's practice sample is a beautiful highly collectable piece of design glass. Normally these pieces are melted down and not kept, but happily this one survived a hundred years on a shelf by the same family. The ruby red cut to yellow glass is one of the rarest color combinations to find which beautifully showcases the intricate bird and flower patterns, etched with skill. The glass egg is hand blown and hollow, with a glossy finish that highlights its Victorian - Art Nouveau figurative style. This antique original is from the Victorian era and produced in the Bohemian area of the then Czechoslovakia. This glass cutter's process sample is unmarked, making it a one-of-a-kind find for collectors. Perfect for decorative purposes, this sample glass egg is a true masterpiece of the art of glass making. This 4" by 2.75" wide Egg is in very good vintage condition. No chips, or cracks. There are two areas of surface scratches from sitting on a shelf for ages that are noticeable. I consider this the patina of age and should not to be perceived as a negative. All around in beautiful condition. See pics for details. I have described this glamorous piece as best I can, but additional to my description I have provided several high-resolution images from varying angles to allow for a more detailed review of quality, and condition. Please ask for additional pics of the set if you have any questions before purchasing. Comes from a smoke free home. No returns, please. This pitcher will be packaged with care to best ensure it arrives in the same vintage condition as pictured. If you have any questions, corrections, or concerns, please message me. And of course, feel free to send me your best offer if you wish. Thank you so much for stopping by.
