Description
After decades spent collecting George Vanderbilt items, Biltmore House memorabilia, and souvenirs from the famous estate, I can safely say this is a rare opportunity. Souvenirs were made for the magnificent mansion, still the largest private home in the Western Hemisphere. What sets a collection apart are souvenirs that were produced before the house became a tourist attraction in 1930, which is what makes this paperweight special. It was made for Asheville souvenir shops circa 1900-1910, and these were sold to an eager public. Now this paperweight can be the crown jewel in your Biltmore / George Vanderbilt collection. This 100-year-old souvenir is nicer than most of the souvenirs sold at Biltmore Estate today! Measures about 4" x just under 2.5". Very nice condition with some scratching to the top. Shipping is by USPS Ground Advantage. Payment must be made within 3 days. If payment is not received within the time frame stated, the transaction may be void and the item may be relisted.
