Refined and not something you'd see in your average jewelry store. This is an old piece but perfectly maintained and intricately and thoughtfully made. It has 'the look' of being the brightest heiress lady in the room! There are eight solid Mexican Fire Oval opals, open on the back so you can see through them which also allows light to pass through and have the look of a stained glass window with the light shining out from behind them. A stunning effect. Each opal is approximately half a carat so 4 carats total of solid opals. Each opal is 4mm by 6mm. The links in between are unusual in a twisted rope love knot design with a very fine beaded edge giving it a texture you just don't see every day. The bracelet is hinged so the links flow beautifully around your wrist. There is no bad side or bad opal. Each one is as beautiful and perfect as the next. A full 7.5" long with a secure double clasp so you won't lose this rare find. 7.3 grams. Our pictures were taken in natural sunlight, no enhancing at all. Please note that in some of the pictures the opals look very gold but they are more ember red and gold fire overall. there is some green fire as well as is commonly seen in Mexican opal. No inclusions, no clouds, no cracks, no crazing. A little bit of patina on the sterling to reveal it's age but we left that as we admire the older pieces.
