OUR DESCRIPTION A Lovely Antique Bohemian/Czech Old “spa” art Glass Paperweight of Scottish Family. Thin green overlay over the windows in the church and another building reflect. It Measures Approximately 2-1/2” Diameter by 1" Tall. There is a scratch in the bottom photo which comes thought to the picture in the front, see 1st and last photo's. The bottom has the picture that is viewed from the front and old paper on the back of that photo is fading away with time and is flat and shows heavy shelf wear consistent with it's age. I consider this Scarce and Wonderful work of art glass to be in Fair Original Antique Condition. Please check pictures for further description. Short History of: Bohemian Paperweights It’s sometimes said that the first glass makers of paperweights were from Bohemia. I am sure if they were not the first Art Glass Paperweight makers, they were certainly the second ones to Venice Glass Makers. Glass Maker History back in the early to mid-1800’s was a bit sketchy, but it’s widely believed that Bohemian weights were made from 1840’s to present. They made many different types of weights and most antique ones were unsigned and simply attributed to Bohemian Glass Makers. Bohemian weights also encompassed a wide geographic area of Europe, that might have covered Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Slovakia areas by today's map. ABOUT ME I am first and foremost a collector of many different types of antiques. One of my hobbies is collecting Art Glass Paperweights.
