This whimsical irregular shaped Vintage Paperweight was hand crafted by master glassworker, Robert L Hamon. Pastel waves of pinks and blues dance and swirl in this excellent example of the beloved late Bob Harmon’s work. Etched signature Robert L Hamon on the bottom. Minor surface scratches present. No chips or nicks. Each of Bob’s pieces is truly free form and one of a kind. Robert L Hamon was one of the premiere art glass makers in U.S. He died in 2003. A keen eye for color and design helped Robert L. Hamon create works that stood apart. His father was a glass maker and Bob started working with glass at the age of 12. Bob’s works had simple beauty and quiet charm. Many of his creations were inspired by nature, and others evolved from dream motifs. He was a man who regarded flowers as cosmic beings. Hamon devoted his life to capturing the essence of the natural elements in glass. Few artists could match his skill or compare with the power of his techniques. Bob also made wonderful marbles. Bob Hamon stands as one of the greatest glassmakers in American History, largely responsible for what we know today as the art glass movement. Sits approximately 4 inches high and 3.5 inches wide.
