This cuff has 8 large genuine opals, in addition to 7 other large high quality stones. An incredible amount of solid genuine opal and overall stones in this unique cuff! ***This cuff is best for a 7 1/4" wrist. Please know your measurements for cuffs before purchasing and keep in mind that the hand display is slender.*** This is a gorgeous vintage gemstone cuff that is so much more affordable since it is set in sterling. This is a collector cuff. It is VERY rare to see this many opals, this size and shape, in one piece! This is a OOAK piece with 8 large square or rectangular inlay genuine opals! ***Please note that large colorful opals, like this, are becoming extremely rare.*** This is most likely a vintage Zuni cuff, but it is not signed by the artist and only hallmarked "sterling" like many vintage Native American pieces. It is an extraordinary piece with lots of natural (solid) opal, along with gold in quartz, and a green stone which most likely is high quality chrysoprase. The stones are without a doubt natural and it was taken to my jeweler to verify that and to make sure all the stones are secure. The stones are in excellent condition without any cracks, chips, or nicks and that is surprising since all the stones are rectangular or square with lots of corners...none of which are chipped. (In addition, I see very little (if any) internal hairline fractures in the opals for their age.) Stones: (2) about 16x20mm solid opals that have a taupe/tan base with vibrant green and subtle purple fire, these two opals are more opaque. (6) about 7x20mm opals that have a white or crème base with blue, purple, orange, green, or pink fire. These smaller opals are more translucent. (6) about 7x20mm vibrant (most likely) chrysoprase and (1) about 16x20mm rare gold in quartz. The gold in quartz is very nice quality with lots of gold matrix! In addition, all stones are domed, except for the gold in quartz which is flush set. All opals match up with one on the other side, so there are 4 pairs of matched opals. This cuff was very nicely done. ALL THE OPALS HAVE VERY NICE FIRE WITHOUT SUNLIGHT, but they were hard to photograph. Pictures were taken in different lighting and at different angles. Measurements: Cuff is just over 5 3/4" plus a 1 1/2" gap (this cuff could be unisex). There is no give to this cuff because of all the inlay stones that go from end to end. It is about 7/8" wide and weighs 58g. It is in excellent condition for vintage and is hallmarked "sterling". This piece is gorgeous and highly collectible. This a very solid, quality piece that will last a lifetime. (And its value will only increase with time.)
